There are a few answers to problems here commonly asked in the forums.

Problem: The iPod Updater won't run.
Solution: Sometimes iPod Updater won't run if you have the latest version of iTunes installed (iTunes 7). Try uninstalling iTunes and installing and older version.

Problem: iPod Wizard (IPW) won't open at all.
Solution: This can sometimes be due to not having a version of iTunes installed. Install/re-install iTunes and try again. Also, make sure the IPW configuration file is in the same folder as IPW.

Problem: The "Load All" button in IPW v1.2 doesn't work.
Solution: There is not solution to this problem, you have to load it manually.

Problem: When I open IPW a message pops up syaing "iPod firmware modifier encountered and error and needs to close".
Solution: This usually happens when running Windows XP, the best solution is to download an IPW 1.2 500-build available here.
