(Yep, I got bored and decided to put some more into this, so here we go: )

Version 2:

This release adds:
-File extraction checks.
-Check for existing C:\Rockbox installs.
-Ability to backup previous installs to C:\Rockbox\Previous.

And other minor fixes related to user-error etc.

Attached to original post.

Slightly off-topic, but does the rockbox bootloader still have the problem with the screen inverting on the official firmware? I can't find any info on the site but I guess you'll know Smile

Will this work for the mini. Becuse in the readme you said "This batch file will install Rockbox on your iPod, and includes user input to customise installation to suit different iPods." But on the RockBox website there is not an option for the mini.
Quote: e) Create the new Rockbox-enabled image file containing the Rockbox Bootloader
iPod 4G (grayscale) users should type the following command to create the file rockboot.bin:
ipod_fw -g 4g -o rockboot.bin -i apple_os.bin bootloader-4g.bin
iPod Color/Photo users should type the following command to create the file rockboot.bin:
ipod_fw -g color -o rockboot.bin -i apple_os.bin bootloader-color.bin
iPod Nano users should type the following:
ipod_fw -g nano -o rockboot.bin -i apple_os.bin bootloader-nano.bin
and iPod Video users should type the following:
ipod_fw -g video -o rockboot.bin -i apple_os.bin bootloader-video.bin

Rockbox currently doesn't run on Mini's or 3G and older iPods.

It wont work, or it is not supported. Because I want to try it even if it is not supported.

"Rockbox boots and appears to be stable on the iPod 4G (grayscale) iPod Color/Photo, the Nano and the Video. Plugins and codecs work, including audio playback on all models. Ports to the iPod 3G and Mini are in progress but are not yet functional."

By that I'm assuming it doesn't work.

Yeah, it still does that. Real strange; hope they get it fixed soon.
