Shuffle: Coinstar, iPod vending machines success
Yahoo News reports that Coinstar, best known for the machines commonly found in grocery stores, drug stores and other retail locations in the US that let you turn your loose change into paper currency, has announced an expansion of its Coin to Card program. Now your loose change can be used to buy credit on the iTMS (iTunes Music Store).

The iPod vending machines which can be found in airports at Atlanta and San Francisco are reported to be doing a very well in terms of sales and the company behind them, Zoom, is looking to expand into new locations and hopes to have installed 10,000 vending machines by the end of 2007.

i really didnt think those iPod vending machines would take off. But i think they would only work in airports and things, not in places like shopping centres and the likes

and ipod vending machine... Im surprised, maybe they will be good tho? i dunno, if they r gonna put them in the airport, peopel are prolly wanting to bring them on their trip to be used, but theres no music on them yet.. unless i understood this wrong

and also, does that mean, that if u use a coinstar machine, it will give u the option to put the money on ur itunes account credit?

im sure they'd take credit card or cash or w/e, and then your ipod would drop down in the little place where you take your prize or w/e. yeah im sure its not too complicated.
