HOWTO: Put any gb/c game on your iPod with rockbox in 10 easy to do steps
1. Get Rockbox installed on your iPod ( http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=8504 5gs)
2. In the root of your iPod(calendar, notes, photos,.rockbox etc.) 3. Make a new Folder called GBC Games(or whatever you want but I like this one) 4. Get your favorite GB/C ROM from where ever 5. It should be named *****.gb or *****.gbc (*'s are name of game) 6. Rename them whatever you want with .ROCK as the end type(instead of .gb .gbc) and place them in the folder I called "GBC Games" 7. Open up Rockbox in your iPod 8. The folder you put in the root should be there, go in it 9. Select the ROM you want and hold the center button over it until it brings up another menu 10. Select "Open With" and choose Rockboy( I think thats the name of the EMU) And there you go, it should boot up and you can now play your favorite gb/c game on your iPod. You'll have to set up the controls for yourself Heres a list of what working ROMS I have on mine Asteroids Missle Command Battletoads DDR 1, 2, and 3 Kirby's Dreamland 1 and 2 Mario Golf Mario Tennis Megaman I-V, Xtreme 1 and 2 Paperboy 1 and 2 Pokemon(thats right)gold, silver, red, blue, and yellow Super Mario Bros. DX Zelda: Links Awakening DX Zelda: Link Gets Laid(regular Zelda) I'm also trying to figure out how to get duke nukem and doom(without linux) on the 5g Last edited by Zaghurim; 03-24-2006 at 05:32 PM.. |

Is the screen full-sized on Rockbox's gameboy emulator? And, how is the speed on it?

there is fullscreen mode, but it sucks because the games look better reg sized
and the speed is alittle bit choppy, but not so much as to make it suck |

Alright, one last question. I don't want to actually use RockBox as an OS, so when I install it, is there a way to make it so that when I load RockBox, it goes straight to the GameBoy, and not to RockBox?

Unless you want to re-write the bootloader, no.
Rockboy is just a plug-in for Rockbox; you have to have the whole thing on there. |
