I guess someone who has them all installed would be able to look in the readme and just copy and paste the firmware version numbers for each pack. Then if that could be merged in to the original post on this thread someone can delete this reply. Many thanks.
Agreed. If someone can give me the information I will happily put it in the first post. I'll also have a look round myself later on and see if I can find the version numbers. (Edit: It's a bit tough for me to look around at the moment, my connection is crawling for some reason and browsing is touch and go)

Download it from apple, and see if you get the same results. If it is the same, then it is a problem on your end, not our updater.
http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

If the problem still occurs create a thread in the help section.

Updater fails to install: "Error 1933- Internet Information Server 4.0"
Has anyone heard of my problem where Ipod Updater almost finishes installing, but then just at the end gets an error:

Error 1933. This setup requires Internet Information Server 4.0 or higher for configuring IIS Virtual Roots. Please make sure that you have IIS 4.0 or higher.

Then, after clicking OK

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

I tried it on multiple Updater versions, so I am starting to think it is something with my system...

This is the only thing I could find for your problem. The last guy (page 3) seemed to have fixed it, so use his method. Hope it helps! http://community.installshield.com/s...46&page=1&pp=5

I need a suggestion:

I can't update my ipod with the newest version of the ipod software with itunes 7.0, when I click Update (Or restore), my ipod is kicked off my computer (eg. it's no longer recognized and the ipod thinks it's been disconnected) while itunes sits there and sits there until it ultimately gives me the error that the disk could not be read from or written to.

I would troubleshoot the hardware/OS except.. it worked fine for 1.1.2 with ITunes 6.05, I have rolled back my machine to that configuration so I can continue to use the ipod while I hunt down a fix.

I wouldn't have upgraded except I bought some videos and they won't even copy to the ipod unless I have version 7 of itunes.

The 5 R's have been done (except for restore, which I couldn't do in itunes 7).
