I was just wondering, why do you need to host all of the updaters? I thought only the latest version would be necessary?

certain things require certain version. certain versions are more stable. some one might just not want the new one evter updating becasue they found out that holding menue exist to the top menue instead of turning off/on the backlight

I cannot thank you guys enough for this, I cannot stand 1.1 firmware for 5G, and couldn't find the 11-17 updater anywheres, and I needed a restore. Very useful.

Has anyone tried using the 11-17-2005 updater? I downloaded the installer on two different comps and ran the updater but it returns an internal error and terminates. I would guess that the file is corrupted. Anyone get it to work successfully?

11-17 worked for me perfectly. My current updater had just started giving me internal errors for no reason, and this one fixed it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the uninstall -- restart -- reinstall and see if it works.
*edit* It worked great. Thanks!!! Last edited by Chronon; 03-21-2006 at 05:08 PM.. |
