H E L P ! !
I'm getting quite frustrated here.
I just recently bought an iPod video 30G
I want to change the theme.
Heres What I did:
- Downloaded IPW V 1.3 and installed it.
- Connected my ipod
- opened IPW
- on top left hand corner chose "ipod"
- then beside it "load firmware"
- then under the "frimware editor" - "pictures" - "load all" - and proceeded to opening the directory under
which i unzipped the theme i want

Here's my problem: if i click "load all" it loads to a point but then i receive a prompt telling me that
"ipod frimware modifier has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program...." then the program closes.

I dont know what im doing wrong.
SOMEBODY PLEASE ADVISE
Thanks so much for your help.
Pierre

i cant make it work at all...i get the top bar, the objects are always working right, but the background is always the combination lock or some other random jpeg....all the tutorials on here confuse the heck outta me...or dont make sense...

1. download and unzip the ipod theme you want - remember where it is.
2. download and install ipodwizard
3. open ipodwizard
4. click "open updater" and select the version of firmware you want to put it on (5g is 13.something)
5. click "load"
6. under the bitmap section, click "load all" and go to the folder where the theme is located
6. click "write firmware"
7. click "downgrade firmware"
8. open up your firmware and install it.
you're done
when i open updater, i cant find the firmware. where is it located or do i need to download it somewhere
