It's quite simple actually.

1. download and unzip the ipod theme you want - remember where it is.
2. download and install ipodwizard
3. open ipodwizard
4. click "open updater" and select the version of firmware you want to put it on (5g is 13.something)
5. click "load"
6. under the bitmap section, click "load all" and go to the folder where the theme is located
6. click "write firmware"
7. click "downgrade firmware"
8. open up your firmware and install it.
you're done

try downloading the new version off source forge. if that doesn't solve your problems bring it to Kingstone's attention

Unhappy
Well, I have a couple questions that apply to this topic, so instead of making another topic I'll just post em here ;p

I bought an iPod Video, and it has the firmware that came with it on it. The 11-17 updater has the same firmware (1.0 I think), so when I try to update with my patched updater it won't update as it already is recent.

How do I do this without reformatting my iPod and losing all my data? ;-;

Also, I'm working on a linux theme for the iPod Video. what Image do I change in order to change the main background? I want to have a faded picture of tux in the background.

Thanks alot

Oh, I figured ths out a while ago. See, you need to downgrade your firmware in order to upgrade it. The firmware is all the basic apple programming on the Ipod, it interperets button clicks and whatnot. If you don't downgrade it, since there is only 1 version for the ipod video, it thinks it doesnt need to be upgraded. You downgrade so the updater says your ipod needs to be upgraded.

I think htats what you meant
