bricked ipod?
for the past few months now i have had a jail broken ipod touch and today it died and when i went 2 go charge it after i got in the shower i noticed the apple logo was still blinking and it had not started up for the next charge so i hard restarted it and then it keep blinking the apple logo

so i thought no problem i will just restore it and then re jailbreak using firmwere 3.0 well after i restore it with itunes it worked perfect and everything was fine after i re jailbroke it it turned black and then would not come back on

i have tried just about everything

its the firmware of the jb. try jailbreaking it with the 2.0 firmware on the ipod if that doesnt work.... wait for another version to come out. my cousin had the same problem and he downgraded and jailbrokeit from there and it worked fine

totally in agreement with DJ,its the firmware.its not bricked...restore with itunes if you cant get it into recovery mode.then re-jailbreak it.

Usually it occurs when a cydia app is incompatible with the newest firmware. When the OS 3.0 beta was out I couldn't use any mobile substrate extensions because of that problem. The only thing you can do is to find out what app is causing this, or really downgrade to another OS and try it later to upgrade. But I think the apps should be all compatible now... Take your time and try a few different things. A restore doesn't take that long and if you are sure you found the solution you can put the music on, because that lasts longer.
