Apple today has released the new 1.1 software for the iPod Classic and the iPod Nano.

It adds support for the new movie rental feature and several bug fixes.

So far users have reported that the click wheel works much smoother with your update.

Dude the click-wheel is sooo much better! I can play Sonic without dieing and Phase without losing a marathon.

We've already covered the differences and improvements in the forum. This is what we have so far:

Coverflow seems exactly the same, although some say it's faster

The clicker the options now say "On, Off and Both" except on the nano, it says "both, headphones, speaker, off"

Backlight now has Off option

The accessory connect screen is still buggy, but it now shows the song and artist you paused when you click radio (blueye tested only)
