I am don't relaly want to mod anything of my ipod except the background screen. I searched through the forum as well as the tutorials, but I don't want to use new firmware or anything change theme mods or anything.

I like the original ipod look but I want to change the background.

I just want to know on the original on the stock firmware, WHERE is the Index number for the BLANK WHITE background on the original firmware.

I looked at videos, etc on how to change, but it states on index 98? I see a "safe wheel" for unlock which means that it is not the background where I can go in and edit the picture individually.

There is no blank white image, it is white because there is no image (and the firmware says, 'No image? Make it white!' but really quietly, so you can't hear it). The best you could hope for is new firmware with all the original pictures and a background.

You may have to do this yourself, by saving the normal images, d/ling the bg hack fw, putting the new fw on the iPod, replace all the images with the stock ones, then put a bg at whatever index the tutorials say.
