ok i apologize if this is in the wrong section.....i just installed the Alienware theme on my ipod....but i really would like to make a theme for my ipod thats original, i have a 5gen ipod and would like to know if there is a website or someone that can help me make a full theme ...i already have the bg but its all the other little things that i would like to know about...i.e. volumebar, card backs. etc etc. i've been looking for a couple of days now and am not sure if i missed it or if there is a tutorial that i did not see ....thank you and excellent site guys!

When i first started making thems as a noob, i found the easiest way by far was to install the Rockbox firmware to my ipod, then change the graphics from there... that means you can change them individually.

thx for the info.......does that allow you to change colors?? cause the theme i have in mind has sand/khaki color volume bar....and a see thru title bar......and a logo where the alien head in the top corner is..i know im proabibly shooting for the stars but i really want something that no one else has...you know....alot of respect to you all that make these...and share them......im just wanting to start something cool .....maybe i should do a request for all but the background for now.......ty again for the info BITH

No just the graphics and fonts n stuff, The font color, Selector bar etc has to be changed maually. There are awesome tutorials here that show you.

What i would do is use the Alien ware theme as a template, and just open and eddit it the way you want One by One useing PhotoShop or GIMP. Make sure you Save As, or els youl overright the original Alien Ware Theme.
Im not sure if ROCKbox will even alow you to eddit the Original iPods Firmwar...

dude lol funny you said this cause thats what i did... but thx...now its just a couple of "tweaks" to make it look nice and i willl have officially made my first theme! thx to all

ill proabibly show some screenshots when i can....but since i used the alienware as a starting point..i have to sort all the stuff out.....but yeah it looks real nice on the ipod....

How to make a theme, by "Me"

I took another theme (any) and got the names of the image files to do mine, same size of the image, same name, but different image.

what did i use??

so far, to make it easy i used, microsoft word and microsoft paint, what do you know!

i do the images in word, and finish them and give name in paint.

so far i have a few, (they take lots of time you know) ill put the screens one of this days.
