I've recently been wanting to place a background image for my Video 80 GB Ipod. I've read a few things on people being able to do it on the 5GB Video Ipod, but nothing for the 60 or 80GB. So just 2 questions.

1) So I was wondering if its possible to use one of the software tools that you guys have to put my own background images as wallpapers on my 80GB Video Ipod. As well, which tool can I use? There are tons of tools that you guys have, I just want to make sure that I use the proper one.

2) If for some reason the software that I use doesn't work well, can I always reformat my Ipod back using Itunes restore mode?

I'm sorry for asking so many questions, I'm just very curious if this can be done, because I would love to do it!!!!

What? He's talking about the background hack that involves using ipodpatcher. I wouldn't really recommend it though...the Now Playing screen looks really bad.

the bg hack ur talkin bout doesnt work on the 5.5g the new im talkin bout does but it only changes the bg to the solitare green

Oh I see...Thank you both for getting back to me. So I guess there's really no point in loading up the firmware since i'll only have that solitair green screen, instead of being able to put my own wallpaper, which is what I would really love to do!

Hopefully they'll come out with a hack thats similar to what roostaphant posted for my iPod soon.That would be awesome! I'm loving the pics of all the hacked iPods, they looking freaking cool!
