Apple have released iTunes 6.0.5 and iPod Updater 2006-06-28. Both releases add the functions that were promised as part of the Nike+iPod partnership, namely the iPod Nano Nike+iPod functions and the ability to sync a users work out data with NikePlus.com using iTunes.

iPod Updater 2006-06-28 also features bug fixes for 5G iPods (now v1.1.2) and iPod Shuffles (v1.1.4). Additionally, a volume limit function has been added to iPod Shuffles.

In related news Apple have just announced that they have sold over 35 million videos via the iTMS (iTunes Music Store) and that they currently offer over 150 different TV shows.

So lets say we update with the new updater will the themes look messed up or is the updater the same graphics just fixed some bugs?

I assume it would have new graphics for the Nike functionality. Which imo really sucks for all of us because now MidKay (or someone else) will have to release a converter so all of us can convert our themes.

Ok i downloaded the updater and updated. I found out that we dont need another converter. The graphic index is the same.

I like how they say 'bug fixes'. When I see that, I don't bother updating.

So the graphics are the same.. Have you checked the font and strings (which will be different)?

A volume limiter on the Shuffle? What a waste of time... They should've had a look at some of the older generations as well if they were going to bother with the Shuffle.

As for iTunes... I still have version 5.x installed, I never really use it.

ok thats good. are you absoluteley sure? will my strings be the same? also will i lose iPod Linux?

If you update it will re-write the boot partition. You will have to re-install the bootloader if you update.

I checked it for the 5G yea everything is the same. I dont know what so different about the update. I think it only affected the nano.
On the nano i dont know if its just me but if you load the nano updater firmware the pics are messed up. Also it has a different graphic index, font, and string index. I think you have to mod directly to the iPod if you have a nano.

I havent downloaded the new iTunes yet. Dont really care for the updates on iTunes.
