my ipod touch was in the breast pocket of my north face jacket and with the case facing out and my back to the rain for about 80% of the time got wet and isnt turning on. ive heard of putting electronics in dry rice works, now i have it under a space heater face down so heat is coming down to the back. am i doing this right?

On Saturday, my iPod classic encountered some alcohol. I of course drunkenly turned it on to make sure it worked, which it did at the time. It quickly deteriorated from that point to being completely non-functional (flashing Apple screen, making clicking sounds) even when plugged in. However, today just for funsies I tried it and it synced right away. It even fully charged (or so it says) and I was able to restore it. I also just briefly unplugged it and turned it off and on (though within a five second span) and then plugged it back in with no problems. It is now back in its life support container of rice. Does my case sound hopeful? Has anyone else's wet pod come back from the dead after being restored? Is being fully charged a good sign?
