So i got a new iPod Touch 3G

.... its an upgrade from 5G video(it stopped connecting to PC

along time ago.

) So now that i have my new ipod i'm just wondering about how this jailbreak thing works.

I know that its not possible now

for the 3G touches but i just want to know how its done. Getting it to play free apps is what i mean... Do you just put the ipod into that safe mode thing then run some apps? after thats done what programs on my ipod or PC do i need to transfer apps?

Is there sites to download apps?

Ok first you got a 2G touch because they didn't upgrade the 8GB sorry...
Any how you can go on youtube and they have a very clean step by step tutorial with the firmware links then you can go to *cough**cough* (zim=sick) were was i oh yeah *cough*hack-ulos(idk know exactly)*cough* well zim needs sleep if he wants to feel better for monday

What u mean they didn't update the 8GB? so what does that mean? i checked my serial number on apple.com and it says i have a late 2009 model... is there anything new about it? or did i just get ripped off but other then that i just search for 2G touch i'm guessing well i'm going to try it bye.

**UPDATE**

OK I CAN'T FIND A F**CKING Video for jail breaking my iPod touch, all videos say 2G and they say it can't be done.... WTF. Of ya i also have 3.1 firmware lol

He means there are no new features on the 8GB model, no voice control, nor OpenGLES, but i think it has genius mixes.. unless that's part of the firmware update which i'm pretty sure IS. So.. the only difference is the price :/, basically a rip off. There's no difference between em both but the price and the fact the 3g one comes with OS 3.1, they shouldn't even call it 3g :/, only the 32GB and 64GB versions are actually updated, and yet those two versions don't have real good updates, they can't be called 3g models..
