iQuiz Maker for PCs
The Official iQuizMaker is now available from www.iquizmaker.com. Due to this release, I am halting development on this program, seeing that no one really will find the need to use this one when a much better one is available. This thread will still be here. Thanks to all who helped me improve this program! I really appreciate it. If I find the urge to continue working on this program I will certainly do so.

UPDATE VERSION 2!!!!!!!!!!

This version is a huge improvement on version 1. Here are some of the improvements:

1. Multiple document interface. You can work on multiple questions at once.
2. Much more compact.
3. Dialog boxes are used as you choose options.
4. Bug fixes.
5. Capability to save to any existing directory.
6. Added help menu.
7. Generally far easier to use.

TO DO List:
1. Save and restart a quiz project.
2. Sync to iPod. I was unable find out how to create new directories.
3. Maybe a prettier GUI.

Directions for usage:

When you first download the program, remove the .rar extension from the file iQuizMakerV2.exe.rar. Then you can run the program.

1. In the main window, choose Start --> New Pack.
2. Enter in all the information presented, then click OK.
3. You will return to the main window. Choose Start -->New Question.
4. Choose whether you want to make a true/false or multiple choice question.
5. A blank window will pop up. Enter in the question in the white empty space.
6. To input the answers, look at the menu bar on the main window. Choose Question Options --> Enter Answer Choices.
7. Input the answer choices and the correct answer. Click OK.
8. If you are done with this question, then choose Question Options --> Save.
9. The question will be written to the quiz file.
10. Repeat steps 3-9 for additional questions. You may work on more than one question at a time, but remember that answer choices are stored for only one question at a time. So if you first work on a true false question and the switch to a multiple choice question, you may have to reenter the answer choices.
11. To save the quiz file, go to Start --> Save. Choose the place you want to save it and choose OK. The trivia.txt file will be stored there.

To load this onto your iPod:
1. Open up your iPod directory.
2. Navigate to iPod_Control\Games_RO\11002\UserTrivia
3. In that folder, create a new folder called "Packs".
4. Inside the "Packs" folder, create another folder and name it whatever your quizpack is called (ie Football or Music)
5. Place the "trivia.txt" file in that folder.
6. To add more quizpacks, simply create more folders in the "Packs" directory.

If you need more info I suggest you go here to learn more about the iQuiz format: http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/games/iquiz.html

I've included the program and the complete source code if anyone wants to modify this program, but please give me credit! Also, the tga files for customizing the theme are attached. If this constitutes a infraction, please, just remove it mods. It should be fine though, since they're really just pictures.

Let me know of any bugs that you might find. This should work fine if you do things properly. I didn't feel like adding a whole bunch of tests to insure that data was entered in properly, although I might add this in the future.

You can move it if you want. Or I can just create a new thread. Whichever one is easier. Thanks!

That part I can't really help you with. I think you make a new folder under "samples", call if whatever you want, and then put the trivia.txt in there, along with all the .tga files that you use for the theme. If you arne't changing the theme then just copy the .tga from the folder "sample1" and put them in there.

I THINK that is how it's done. I'm hoping that someone that bought the game can try syncing quizpacks to it and tell me how it is done. Try it though and let me know.

Version just refers to the so called "version" of the quizpack. So say you make a quizpack and then you decide to add stuff to it but you want to keep it separate. Then you could put version 1 as the first one and version 2 as the second one.

@axlgreasetires: that'd be a good option to have, but I think the whole point of music quiz is to test your familiarity with your entire library, not just a certain playlist. haha

Oh, ok.
And for the correct answer, do you type the actual answer itself? or 1/2/3/4?

Edit: Nvm, I just found out on the Apple Website.
